    Pink cherry blossoms
    wrinkled hands resist plucking
    from gnarled trunk, so fresh
    Daniel Collins(Olakha,Thimphu)
    When her children are away
she must alone, walk this road
    to the corner shop
    Sonam Palden(Paro)
    Still complaining about the cold
    even the willows
    have fully bloomed
    Sonam Palden(Paro)
    It’s sunny
    but still cold
    a woman dressed for winter
    Sonam Palden(Paro)
    Relieved
    the red sandles
    my teacher meditates
    Dorji Tashi(RTC, Thimphu)
    So this is how
a peach tree sheds its blossoms
    so unassumingly in the wind
    Sonam Palden(Thimphu)
    Under the warm sunlight
adjusting the strap of her hat
    the back of a woman
    Sonam Palden(Thimphu)
    An old man’s gnarled hand
reaches out from my worn sleeve
    where are my glasses?
    Daniel Collins (Olakha,Thimphu)
    Haggardly, my face
    in the cold, ruthless mirror
    beckons “good morning.”
    Daniel Collins (Olakha,Thimphu)
    From a neighbour’s balcony
my father’s truck, in the dark
    leaving the driveway
    Sonam Palden(Thimphu)
    The old wrinkled face
    has many hidden
    expressions
    Junu Chhetri(Ambient Cafe,Thimphu)
    Snow outside
    upon every expression
    cold speaks of warmth
    Dorji Tashi(Thimphu)
